Locking activator

A blade lock, also referred to as a locking activator, was a specific type of activation stud situated on the hilt of a lightsaber. This mechanism enabled the lightsaber's energy blade to remain active, even without the user gripping the weapon. This feature was particularly beneficial for those who commonly employed their lightsabers as a thrown projectile, as it ensured the blade would not switch off upon striking an object.

Jax Pavan employed the locking activator during his 18.8 BBY confrontation with Xizor. Furthermore, Aurra Sing's lightsaber was also equipped with this functionality.
