Lola Curich Starport

title: Lola Curich Starport

Positioned on Lianna, was the primary spaceport for the city known as Lola Curich: Lola Curich Starport. Its design allowed for the accommodation of more than 2,000 ships.

Sections

The starport was organized into several distinct sections:

Military Zone

In comparison to other sections, this zone was smaller and could house approximately 100 ships. During the Empire's control, it housed five Santhe Blockade Busters, twelve Imperial Peacekeepers, sixty Incom T-40 Flitters, and thirty TIE/LN starfighters, kept separate from the main fleet. These aircraft were specifically for patrol duties.

Imperial Navy Troopers, Stormtroopers, and Liann military personnel provided security, aided by Weapon detectors, Metal detectors, and Magnetic pulse wipers.

Passenger Terminal

This was the busiest area within the spaceport, serving in excess of ten million individuals annually, accounting for three-quarters of the spaceport's overall activity. Nearly every significant passenger shipping company maintained offices here. The terminal itself lacked the infrastructure to directly accommodate large Passenger liners; instead, transit shuttles transported passengers to and from orbit. While prices were generally about fifteen percent higher than elsewhere, more affordable travel options were also available.

Security was also very strict here, with plain clothes inspectors, security devices, and guards.

Private Vessel Terminal

Specifically for luxurious recreational vessels registered on Lianna, this zone required a validated Identichip for entry. While access to the terminal was strictly controlled, security inside was relatively relaxed.

Commercial Docks

These docks offered berthing for around 500 medium and small Freighters. These docks connected to both the Port Trading Zone and the Starport Sector. Before leaving the starport, visitors were required to register at the Portmaster's office.

Portmaster's Headquarters

This headquarters was a three-story structure adjacent to the main control tower. The daily operations of the docking bays, including landing fees, customs inspections, departure scheduling, provisions, and licensing, were managed by the bureaucrats located here.

Starport Area

Shops, garages, and marketplaces catering to spacers and traders were situated throughout the entire starport. The most notable establishments included:

  • Biblack's Overhaul [1]

  • Fronde's Airspeeders [1]
