This district, situated near Barons Knoll, was characterized by its impoverished housing and a high concentration of commercial establishments. This stood in stark opposition to the [High Town],(/article/high_town) where the wealthier inhabitants resided on the hillside slopes. The inhabitants of Low Town frequently appeared unkempt, bearing traces of grime and filth. The narrow passages weaving between stores, pubs, and cantinas reeked of stale urine and regurgitated waste, and incense was commonly burned in an attempt to mask the foul odors, resulting in a complex and unpleasant aromatic blend.
The lane opened into Rimmer's Alley, a pathway that ascended towards the elevated terrain.
