Luj City, a significant financial hub within the Tharin sector of the Outer Rim Territories', was situated on the planet Novor 23. Notably, it also encompassed the notorious East Side area. Around 20 BBY, this district became the location of a conflict between the assassin Kassar Kosciusko and five individuals from the Loag group of hired killers.
Serving as the primary settlement and capital of Novor 23, Luj City thrived on a busy planet characterized by expansive urban centers, all located within the Tharin sector of the Outer Rim Territories. The city's vibrant economy was fostered by the collaboration between the native Ry'coz species and various alien immigrants, establishing Luj City as a pivotal financial center for the entire sector. Sharing its name with the Luj system of the Tamarin sector's, the city also contained a less reputable area known as the East Side.
Roughly twenty years prior to the Battle of Yavin, both the Tarro assassin Kassar Kosciusko and five members of the Loag—an ancient order of assassins originating from Merisee in the Elrood sector—were separately contracted to eliminate the same target. This led to a confrontation between the two groups of killers in Luj City's East Side, a battle that Kosciusko survived, although bearing significant scars. Additionally, the same district witnessed a scuffle between a Gamorrean enforcer and the Kerestian bounty hunter Milacass around 2 ABY, resulting in the latter losing multiple teeth.
Craig Robert Carey and J. Michael Denbo conceived Luj City, introducing it in Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a 1994 sourcebook by West End Games designed for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
