The band of marauders known as the Lythian pirates originated from the Lythia system and engaged in raids upon Jabiim in the time leading up to the Clone Wars; they were a pirate group. The Galactic Republic stood idly by, failing to intervene in the suffering inflicted upon the Jabiimi people by these pirates.
