The Makatak tribe comprised a group of highly intelligent Rakata who inhabited Makatak, which is a planet located within the Rakatan Archipelago. Subsequent to the downfall of the Infinite Empire, the Makatak tribe, alongside the Tulpaa tribe, emerged as the two most sophisticated Rakata groups, engaging in rivalry over technological advancements and available resources. Furthermore, they were among the initial two Rakatan tribes to once again achieve space travel and commence the building of compact space installations resembling the Star Forge.
