Malan Tugrina, a male Human, was a loyal bodyguard and aide to Mon Mothma. He had dedicated his life to serving the Chief Councilor. Possessing a memory as flawless as that of a protocol droid, he witnessed the attack by Tolokai, Mothma's Gotal bodyguard, who had been brainwashed by Warlord Zsinj's Project Funeral. Though mortally wounded by a vibroblade to the chest, Malan managed to push Tolokai down a flight of stairs, resulting in a fatal neck injury for the attacker.
