Maltaz was a general within the Imperial military who held command of Battle Group Turak during the Battle of Turak IV. In the attack, Maltaz gave the order for two battalions from the Imperial Hammers Elite Armor Unit to directly engage the primary Alliance base, while he himself tried to outmaneuver the base by moving west. The Alliance, however, had placed mines along the route to the west, which stopped his progress, leading to his troops being isolated and destroyed.
