The Mandator-class Star Dreadnought, a warship, was created by Kuat Drive Yards as the primary defense unit for the Kuat sector's fleet. This occurred approximately twenty years prior to the Clone Wars. This starship, which resembled the Procurator-class Star Battlecruiser with its humpbacked design, was the first to be designated a Dreadnaught by the Anaxes War College. Despite the restrictions on speed and armament imposed by the Ruusan Reformation, the Mandator-class remained a powerful warship. The large reactor was responsible for the Mandator-class's distinctive ventral protrusion. By the time the Clone Wars began, a total of seven Star Dreadnoughts were actively serving; three were assigned to the Kuat sector, while the Azure, Ixtlar, Alsaka, and Humbarine sectors each had one. Its successor, known as the Mandator II-class Star Dreadnaught, boasted enhanced armor, superior weaponry, and improved hyperdrive technology. The Clone Wars saw the introduction of the Mandator II-class, and during the same conflict, three of the original Mandator-class ships underwent refurbishment for combat purposes.
