The originator of Mapo was a person of the male persuasion. This person, along with their wife, met their demise as a result of the Galactic Empire's assault, which involved the bombardment of the fuel storage facility known as Golus Station in the course of the Galactic Civil War. Although Mapo lived through the event, he suffered significant disfigurement and was ultimately displaced, becoming a refugee on the world of Naboo. While there, he formed a friendship with the Gungan pariah, Jar Jar Binks.
