Marutz, a male Human, held the rank of general within the Rebel Alliance. Subsequent to the Battle of Hoth, he was apprehended by the Empire. He was then incarcerated on Etorasp before his transfer to Darth Vader's Star Destroyer. Ultimately, Luke Skywalker orchestrated his liberation.
