Mary Franklin previously held the position of Sr. Events Lead at Lucasfilm Ltd., where she was responsible for the coordination of numerous marketing and promotional events for the company. These events included the annual E3 Expo, Licensing Show, San Diego Comic-Con International, and Star Wars Celebration. From 2001 until 2015, Franklin was employed by Lucasfilm. Subsequently, she transitioned to ReedPOP, a global organizer of pop culture conventions and a licensed partner of Lucasfilm, where she assumed the role of global event director, continuing her involvement with Star Wars Celebration.
Before passing the editorial torch to Pete Vilmur, Franklin served as the editor of Bantha Tracks, a section within Star Wars Insider magazine dedicated to Star Wars fandom. Her tenure concluded with issue 157.
