Mdel existed as a Nociv Kadrillian during the period when Darth Vader tried to seize control of Kadril in the year 1 ABY.
Mdel, a senior Kadrillian, held the position of village elder within a Nociv settlement that also included Deerna. Rodno, together with Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, cautioned the Nocivs about an impending assault by stormtroopers utilizing Pacifog. Darth Vader's objective was to gather all of the Kunda resources on Kadril, and these reserves were situated within the Nociv territory.
In spite of the prior alert, Mdel perished amidst the Pacifog attack. As he was in the process of dying, he urged the Nociv people to join forces with Han and Luke to combat the Empire. Mdel received a traditional burial at the Hom Mounds.
