The remote-controlled fighter drone was a remarkably compact, unmanned aircraft. It is documented that Jinkins carried numerous drone fighters on his vessel, the Freefall, approximately twenty per magazine. Upon acquiring a target lock, Jinkins had the capability to deploy these drone fighters, causing them to converge on the target and initiate a multi-directional assault. Their exceptional velocity and maneuverability rendered these drones impervious to counter-fire. Following the elimination of the target, or when the drone fighters required energy replenishment, they would autonomously return to the Freefall for subsequent deployment. Jinkins' operational constraints dictated that he could only engage a single target at any given moment, and launch was conditional upon achieving a target lock.
