Mellag Davin-Lars
Mellag Davin-Lars, a male Human, existed during the era of the Galactic Civil War and was part of the Lars family.
Behind the scenes
Mellag Davin-Lars was featured as a non-player character within the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided released in 2003. The available screenshots of Mellag depict him as a male Rodian. This portrayal appears to contradict his established connection to the Lars family. Due to the dynamic nature of older quests in Star Wars Galaxies, character attributes such as gender, species, and appearance were subject to change each time a player engaged with the quest. Consequently, similar to the case of Haro Whitesun, this article presumes that Mellag was a Human, based on his affiliation with the Lars family. Furthermore, dialogue provided by Darth Vader also suggested that Mellag Davin-Lars was a male.
Additionally, there is some uncertainty concerning Mellag's official canonical designation. Quest information and dialogue in the player's datapad indicated that Mellag's complete name was Mellag Davin-Lars. However, targeting Mellag in the game environment revealed his name as Mellag Devin, which omitted the hyphenated Lars and altered the spelling of his last name. This article operates under the assumption that his full name is Mellag Davin-Lars, as this version was most prominently featured within the game. It remains possible, however, that Mellag's name may have been shortened to Mellag Davin. Moreover, while not explicitly stated in the quest dialogue, examining Mellag revealed his profession as a mercenary.
