Menir was a farmer of the male persuasion. He resided in a dwelling situated close to the Batuuan settlement known as [Skirl] during the age of the High Republic Era. He entered into matrimony with Elise, a Skirl native. Their bond, at first joyful, deteriorated when Menir, having grown exceedingly committed to safeguarding his lifestyle, assaulted a traveler whom Elise had welcomed into their abode. The traveler's only belonging—a sack holding three seeds—was abandoned during the altercation. Menir, after deriding the traveler's meager possessions, discarded the seeds outdoors.
The seeds ultimately sprouted into monstrous beings referred to as Drengir. These creatures annihilated Skirl and the residence of Menir, resulting in killing Elise. After witnessing these events, the farmer understood the gravity of his actions. He then encountered the traveler outside the remnants of his destroyed home.
