Doctor Mi Fon Lu, a Sullustan archaeologist, once held aspirations to investigate the remains of the Jedi Enclave on the planet Mustafar. His study of the ruins was impeded by a group of dark Force adherents known as the Blackguard, who had established their base of operations there. Ultimately, Mi Fon Lu employed a bounty hunter to dispatch the group, finally securing access after the bounty hunter's successful victory. The Doctor compensated the bounty hunter with 5,000 credits along with a Mustafarian Distance Globe. Speculation suggests that surviving members of the Blackguard later reclaimed the ruins and sought retribution against him.
Mi Fon Lu was featured as a non-player character in Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2003, which was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The character of Doctor Mi Fon Lu made his debut in the game with the November 1, 2005 launch of the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion pack.
