Microsynapse

A microsynapse was thought to be a part of a droid, however its function is not known.

Around 15 BBY, after a fight on Dodz between Kugg's Destroyer and a Ranger X-1, R2-D2's microsynapse was damaged. Because it was impossible to fix on Dodz, the droid and his counterpart departed.
