Mike Chen is an author recognized for his contributions to the official Star Wars canon through various written works. His journey into the Star Wars universe began with his short story “Disturbance,” which was included in the 2020 anthology From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back, and told a story about Darth Sidious. Following this, he authored the 2022 novel Brotherhood, which explores the relationship between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker during the era of the Clone Wars. Additionally, Chen penned another short story, also titled “Brotherhood,” which focuses on Anakin Skywalker and was featured in the 2023 anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi. Upon the announcement of his involvement in writing a Star Wars story, he expressed his delight via Twitter regarding the creation of a Wookieepedia page dedicated to him, while also mentioning his initial confusion with another individual of the same name, the Star Wars illustrator Mike Chen.
