MCF 63, also known as Military Correction Facility 63, functioned as a prison. This prison was a component of the base that the New Republic constructed on the planet Milagro in 5 ABY, specifically three months preceding the battle in the Milagro system.
Detainment droids were responsible for its upkeep. The thin atmosphere of the planet, along with the prisoners' lack of escape options, permitted them to work unshackled. Despite being consistently instructed and anticipated to hasten their work, the prisoners invariably found themselves awaiting the officers' instructions.
Alfonso Luiz Obota was incarcerated within its walls for the crime of mutiny. Obota, along with fellow inmates, participated in the installation of a communications mast situated on the fused glass surface, which remained from structures destroyed during Galactic Empire attacks.
Building twenty-three served as its central command. This headquarters, similar to the other prefabricated structures on the base, featured internal constructions, corridors, and fiberboard doors. Upon entering the initial hall, a message board displayed a lengthy catalog of rules that almost reached the floor. The floor was made of fiber foam. The interior was painted in a green color. It was within these confines that Jan Ors and Kyle Katarn called Obota in for questioning and subsequently enlisted him for the Mission to Ruusan.
