Mine Type A

The Mine Type A, alternatively referenced as the Type 1 mine or Mn/T1, represented an autonomous, fixed defense system manufactured by the weaponry firm Arakyd Industries.

Equipped with an omnidirectional laser cannon, this static mine, the Mn/T1, presented an economical solution for deterring intruders. This laser cannon served as a safeguard against starfighters, particularly those with inferior shielding, like the Z-95 Headhunter, or unshielded vessels such as the TIE/LN starfighter. Furthermore, its contact detonation mechanism proved potent against capital ships, especially when deployed en masse to form a minefield.

A minefield incorporating the Mn/T1 provided protection for the Rebel Alliance MC40a Light Calamari Cruiser named Lulsla.

Maarek Stele, a steadfast Imperial starfighter pilot, faced the exceptionally challenging mission of independently dismantling a minefield comprised of Mn/T1s while piloting a delicate TIE/IN interceptor. His insubordinate commanders assigned him this perilous undertaking when his inquisitive tendencies risked exposing the duplicity of Admiral Harkov.
