Minerax Consulting

Minerax Consulting existed as a mining consultation firm during both the twilight of the Republic and the subsequent Imperial era of the Galactic Republic. Back in 23 BBY, the industrialist Count Denetrius Vidian secretly acquired a share in Minerax Consulting, leveraging it to produce reports that effectively shut down surface mining activities on Gorse and several other planets. These mining ventures were previously managed by companies that had not met his standards during his time as Lemuel Tharsa, a minor mining inspector. Vidian's actions led to the financial ruin of the Interstellar Thorilide Guild, while simultaneously boosting the comet-chaser industry, an industry he largely dominated.

Under the rule of the Galactic Empire, Vidian ascended to the rank of Count and served as the Emperor's efficiency advisor. Approximately eleven years after this, Vidian maintained the deception that Lemuel Tharsa was a distinct individual. Using the identity, standing, and role of Tharsa as Minerax's head researcher, Vidian fabricated a false report asserting that detonating Gorse's moon, Cynda, would not harm its thorilide crystals. This was a key element in an elaborate scheme to incriminate his adversary, Baron Lero Danthe, the heir to a droid manufacturing enterprise. The scheme to obliterate Cynda by Lemuel was thwarted through the combined efforts of rebels Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Skelly, Zaluna Myder, the Imperial Captain Rae Sloane, and Baron Danthe.
