Mission 10: Get In, Get Out

Mission 10: Get In, Get Out represents the tenth starfighter combat scenario designed for the Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game. It was released as a rules addition within the YT-2400 Freighter Expansion Pack.

Plot summary

The Rebel Alliance, following the destruction of a Rebel smuggling operation by Imperial forces, offered a generous reward. This reward was for anyone brave enough to confront Imperial patrols and retrieve the smuggler's lost goods. Only a single pilot possessed the necessary courage (or recklessness) to undertake this perilous task.

Mission Setup

Rebel: The Rebel player uses Dash Rendar equipped with Leebo, a Heavy Laser Cannon, Proton Rockets, Counter Measures, Lone Wolf, and the Outrider title. As an alternative, the Rebel player can field Dash Rendar along with upgrades totaling up to 22 points.

Imperial: The Imperial player must construct a squad with a total of 75 points. The Imperial side is restricted to a maximum of 3 ships and cannot include any large-base ships.

The Imperial player starts by taking the six unique asteroid tokens and the three debris cloud tokens from the core set and setting them aside near the playing area. The Imperial player selects one of these obstacle tokens and places it onto the playing surface. Following this, the Rebel player chooses one of the remaining obstacle tokens and places it on the playing surface. This alternating placement continues until all nine obstacle tokens are positioned on the map. Each obstacle token must be placed outside Range 1 of any edge of the play area and also beyond Range 1 of any other obstacle token.

Next, the Imperial player collects the five cache tokens, flips them facedown, and shuffles them randomly. The Imperial player then selects one of these tokens at random, without looking at it, and places it facedown on any obstacle. Subsequently, the Rebel player picks one of the remaining cache tokens, also without looking, and places it facedown on any obstacle. This alternating cache token placement continues until all five cache tokens are distributed. No obstacle can have more than one cache token placed on it.

After that, the Imperial player positions their entire squad within Range 1 of the Imperial edge of the playing area. Finally, the Rebel player places Dash Rendar within Range 1 of the Rebel edge of the playing area.

Mission Objectives

The Rebel player achieves victory when Dash Rendar successfully escapes off any edge of the game board carrying three undamaged cache tokens.

The Empire wins if they manage to destroy Dash Rendar's ship.
