After Kyle Katarn's rescue of Crix Madine from Orinackra, the officer, who had just defected, gave the Alliance some intel: the Dark Trooper Project was masterminded by Rom Mohc, and to stop it, the Alliance needed to eliminate a pair of targets.
The whereabouts of these targets remained a mystery, but it came to light that the project received supplies from smugglers and an unknown kingpin.
Katarn, along with Jan Ors, came to the conclusion that planting a tracking device within the engine compartment of a smuggling ship as it departed from the Imperial spaceport Cal-Seti would be instrumental in discovering their destination.
Upon reaching Ramsees Hed, Katarn affixed a tracking device to the back of a smuggling vessel. This action ultimately guided him to an Imperial robotics complex situated on Anteevy.
