The Mission to Duroon involved the crew of the famed Millennium Falcon engaging in a smuggling operation to the world of Duroon, on behalf of the loan shark known as Ploovo Two-For-One.
Han Solo and his co-pilot, Chewbacca, accepted an agreement to transport 1,000 carbine energy rifles into a restricted area located within the Corporate Sector. As the duo's ship entered Duroon's orbit, their sensors detected a Corporate Sector Authority lighter that had just departed from an Authority facility on the planet's opposite side. Solo, attempting to avoid the lighter, executed a dangerous dive into Duroon's atmosphere. The Millennium Falcon stabilized close to the ground, positioning itself above a magma fissure to conceal itself from the lighter's sensor systems. They flew at a low altitude, hoping to remain undetected, as they headed toward the mountains. A narrow canyon surprised them, and the pilot had to demonstrate his exceptional flying skills to save the ship. During this maneuver, the Millennium Falcon lost its long-range sensor dish when it collided with the canyon wall.
After landing, Han Solo and Chewbacca were greeted by the Duroon Rebels, humanoids who had previously been contract slaves but had become insurgents and were the intended recipients of the weapons. The crew unloaded the cargo and then attempted to repair the sensor dish, but their efforts were unsuccessful. As they attempted to take off without the use of sensors, a tractor beam from the waiting lighter ensnared them. Solo turned the ship around to confront the Authority ship directly, attempting to break free from the tractor beam's grip. The lighter performed a sudden evasive maneuver to avoid a collision with the Millennium Falcon, which allowed Han Solo and Chewbacca to make their escape into deep space.
