Duroon

In the era of the Cold War, a Sarlacc that had perished from a disease was exhumed. The purpose of this action was to examine the contents of its stomach for any ancient artifacts.

During the time of the Clone Wars, the world was situated within the boundaries of the Separatist territories.

The Corporate Sector Authority (CSA) governed the world, which was firmly located inside of territory that was considered "steer clear". Consequently, the Sector Police were not welcoming of the smuggler's unlawful activities in the system.

A significant Corporate Sector Authority military installation was located on the world. Captain Solo tried to avoid detection by the Authority's sensors by piloting his ship over a very large, active volcanic fissure on the far side of the world. Solo also used the planet's mountainous landscape to get away when being chased by a heavily armed CSA warship. Duroon also featured thick jungles, with plants that looked like ferns and were twenty meters tall. Duroon had a trio of moons.

Although this warm and foggy planet lacked native sentient life, its atmosphere was habitable for the majority of humanoid species and was home to a wide variety of unusual native animals. According to Captain Solo's accounts, these included odd "lacy white things" that resembled "flying dollies" and "swam through the air with ripples of their thin bodies." He also mentioned seeing a small, green, spheroid creature that moved through the jungle by bouncing on its smooth body, extending an eye-bump when it needed to see its surroundings.
