Mongo Beefhead patties, sharing a name with the Mongo Beefhead species, were a menu item at Dex's Diner. This diner was owned and operated by the Besalisk chef Dexter Jettster and was located in the CoCo Town area of the planet Coruscant. These seasoned, hand-formed patties contained no additives or Gank fillers. Served on trans-shipped, medium-density food-boards, they were a key ingredient in several sliders offered at the diner. These included the Coruscant slider, Giju slider, Khomm slider, Socorro slider, Talus and Tralus slider, and the Zeltros sliders. The Galactic Empire destroyed the diner sometime between 19 BBY and 18 BBY, ending the availability of the patties.
The first mention of Mongo Beefhead patties occurred in "Dining at Dex's," a Hyperspace-exclusive article from 2009 penned by Gregory Walker. The article presented itself as an in-universe menu for Dex's Diner. Walker, known for his love of discarded concepts, named the patties after the Mongo Beefhead species, which had initially been conceived for The Epic Continues, a canceled toy line by Kenner.
