Moonbender Colony, often shortened to Moonbender, existed on a moon situated within the Outer Rim throughout the Republic Era. This colony was governed by the Remainders, an organization composed of ex-bounty hunters. Sometime in the period spanning roughly from 40 BBY to 32 BBY, the colony's inhabitants had diminished to approximately one hundred individuals, consisting of miners, vapor farmers, and their respective families. During this time, Darth Maul, a Sith apprentice, was dispatched to Moonbender by his master, Darth Sidious, to engage the Remainders in combat as a means of assessing his capabilities. Despite Maul's victory over the Remainders, at least one inhabitant managed to live through the ordeal.
