The Remainders were a collection of ex-bounty hunters who managed Moonbender Colony, a settlement located on a moon situated in the Outer Rim. Many of the group's personnel had difficulty adapting to civilian life, leading to their assignment to Moonbender, an isolated colony within the Galactic Republic. Functioning as both the colony's legal authority and its defense against raiders, the Remainders included figures such as Barva-Zul, the sheriff; Zandloss, a General; and Korvik, the doctor, alongside Jeq and Zheemo. Approximately between 40 BBY and 32 BBY, Darth Maul, a Sith apprentice, was dispatched by his master, Darth Sidious, to eliminate the Remainders as a means of evaluating his combat skills.
