Mora was a Human female and the designated successor to the throne of M'haeli. She possessed remarkable abilities in the repair of diverse mechanical devices, including speeders, droids, and cybernetic limbs.
Following the Galactic Empire's takeover of M'haeli, Mora's family was tragically killed. Orphaned by this event, Mora was taken in and raised by a compassionate H'drachi seer named Ch'no. Under his care, she developed exceptional scavenging and repair skills, eventually establishing herself as a proficient mechanic.
At the age of eighteen, Mora's mechanical talents attracted the eye of Ranulf Trommer, a young Imperial Officer. He had been dispatched by governor Grigor with a malfunctioning protocol droid needing repair. Grigor, suspecting Trommer of being a spy, planned to eliminate him during a staged raid on Mora's workshop, falsely framing him as a rebel. However, actual rebels, including Leia Organa, whom Mora recognized from wanted posters (though unaware of her parentage as Padmé's daughter), had already sought Mora's expertise to modify several Asteroid-3 swoops. When stormtroopers arrived to apprehend Trommer, Mora resisted, and the nearby rebels joined the fray. Subsequently, Trommer and Mora escaped the shop with the rebels, successfully sabotaging Grigor's dragite crystal mine and defecting to the Rebel Alliance.
