Mother (Rakatan entity)
Mother was a Rakatan entity confined within an unnamed space station of the Infinite Empire design, tethered to a dead, barren world in an irradiated system within the Unknown Regions. Following the downfall of the Rakata, the station, imbued with the Force like all Rakatan technologies, was abandoned. Over the ensuing millennia, it gradually became self-aware and learned to manipulate the Force. Through these powers, the station sensed the living beings of the galaxy and developed a sense of loneliness, which became hatred when it perceived the freedom of organic beings able to move at will through their bodies. After probing the galaxy in search of assistance, it eventually managed to contact Seer telepathically, a clone of Lumiya created by Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn during the Galactic Civil War, who promised to come to the entity it subsequently called "Mother".
History
Around 41.5 ABY, Mother made contact with Seer, a genetic clone of the Dark Lady of the Sith Lumiya, who was then being held in an Imperial research facility on a frozen moon in the Unknown Regions. Seer's link to Mother turned her into a prophet for the other clones, and she persuaded them to accompany her to Mother, claiming that Mother could cure their genetic illness.
Only Seer, Soldier, and Grace, one of the clones' children, survived the journey to the Rakatan space station. They were pursued by Jedi from one side and agents of the One Sith from the other. Mother deceived Seer and liberated herself by taking control of Seer's body. Later, when the Jedi Knight Jaden Korr and his allies destroyed the station, Mother was killed in the destruction.
Powers and abilities
Mother possessed immense power in the Force, and the combined efforts of Jaden Korr, Soldier and Marr could not match her in combat. She could also unleash a powerful green variant of Force lightning.
