MSF mouse droid

The MSF mouse droid, which is also referred to as the MSF-series, represented a series of wheeled messenger droids. These droids were produced at the X2-4 facility located on the planet Uffel.

Characteristics

These droids were a specialized version of the MSE-series mouse droid. However, they were enhanced to execute small-scale technical fixes and had the capability to float using small repulsorlift engines. They included a unit that could record both audio and video, a pair of tool attachments, a pair of extendable arms, and an integrated comlink. These droids were inexpensive, personable, and practical. They gained significant popularity, particularly within the Cularin system, and proved to be a profitable venture for the droids of Uffel. Owning one or two MSF droids was, for a period, considered a status symbol.

History

The MSF-series was conceived by QS-2D, a droid entrepreneur who oversaw the droid manufacturing plants on Uffel. When the initial mining activities on Uffel ceased to be lucrative, QS-2D chose to market new droid designs. The MSF design significantly boosted their popularity. To deflect attention from the "independent droid" status, QS-2D insisted that they were still employed by a secluded organic master. QS-2D also retained the original model of the design, known as MSF-F2.

After a storm of space debris, the manufacturing of the MSF line was briefly halted. Production was later resumed when a sabotage effort was stopped by a band of heroes originating from the Cularin system. After this event, the MSF-series droid designated MSF-111 formed a bond with one of the heroes and departed Uffel to join them.
