N'zaet Nir, a male human hailing from Mayro, held a position on the Direx Board, which served as the executive committee for the Corporate Sector Authority. During the period of the Clone Wars, he was among a group of six non-military individuals held captive during the Galactic City spaceport hostage siege, perpetrated by Korunnai insurgents. These terrorists equipped the other captives with fake explosives and compelled Nir to exchange garments with one of their own. During the Galactic Republic assault on the location, a commando nearly mistook him for a terrorist and almost shot him, but Kal Skirata, who had previously entered the room, intervened and saved him.
Subsequent events revealed that the terrorists' plan involved Nir's assassination, with the goal of provoking discord between the Republic and the CSA, which maintained neutrality in the war against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
