Nahut, the God of Apathy, also known as the Hated Son, held a position among the six principal Old Gods. These deities were venerated by the inhabitants of Zakuul, the planet, before Valkorion rose to become the Immortal Emperor. Nahut, a child of Izax and Scyva, was one of four, and was perceived as a gray, shapeless, and frigid entity, receiving worship only from his mother, Scyva. The Old Ways instructed the Zakuulans to avoid following Nahut into the shadows, urging them instead to "light the way" to guide him back.
Originally, Nahut was an experimental wardroid superweapon of titanic scale from Iokath, constructed by a technologically superior, ancient people. He, along with his siblings, numbering five in total, underwent testing on numerous unsuspecting planets, resulting in over ten trillion deaths. Zakuul was one of these worlds, explaining why Nahut was perceived as a god there.
