During the conclusion of Star Wars Galaxies beta testing, players are seen gathered at the Moraj Memorial. Nathan "Moraj_Markinnison" Larkins, born in July 1982 and passing away in October 2002, participated as a beta tester in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game by Sony Online Entertainment.
Following Nathan Larkins' untimely death from a car accident in early October of 2002, the development team behind Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided erected a Moraj Memorial flag just outside the city of Bestine on Tatooine. This was done to commemorate his commitment to both the game and its community. The flag denoted the entry point for beta testers into the game, and featured an in-universe description honoring the "brave Captain Moraj." Guinness World Records acknowledged this as the earliest instance of a virtual memorial within an MMORPG, a fact initially documented in the Guinness World Records 2008: Gamer's Edition.
An online memorial page dedicated to Nathan emphasizes his significant contributions as a beta tester, including his involvement with The Crescent Order guild and his role as a cherished member of the Newbie Welcome Wagon (NWW). Upon the launch of Star Wars Galaxies in 2003, Maroj Melons were introduced as a starting item for players. However, the game did not explicitly state whether these melons were intended as another tribute to Nathan Larkins, unlike the historical marker near Bestine (note the slight letter rearrangement between Maroj and Moraj).
