Nausage was a type of grilled food originating from the planet Tatooine, accompanied by dustcrepes and consumed during the initial decades of the New Republic. This dish was a favored breakfast option on Tatooine, and Luke Skywalker particularly enjoyed it.
Despite being a less-than-stellar chef, Mara Jade Skywalker tried her hand at preparing this breakfast while aboard Eclipse Station in 27 ABY during the Yuuzhan Vong War. As she desired to remain in her living space, preserving her private time with her husband and infant son, Ben Skywalker, Jade Skywalker continued her efforts, even as the dustcrepes began to brown and the nausage expanded and became charred. Shortly after, Luke Skywalker emerged from the refresher, remarked on the appealing aroma, and tasted her nausage, declaring it tasted just like the nausage made on Tatooine.
