Nemok-Ta
Nemok-Ta, a Gormak of male gender, was a student of the Force under the tutelage of the Jedi Order on Voss in ancient times, during a period of conflict between the Jedi and Sith on the planet. His avarice and lack of understanding regarding the Force's power led to the emergence of Sel-Makor. Later, during the era of the Cold War, he reappeared as a Force ghost, tasking an outsider with delivering a message to Voss-Ka: their conflict with the Gormak threatened Voss itself.
Biography
In a bygone era, Voss, a planet, became a battleground for the Sith and Jedi. The planet's inhabitants possessed a strong connection to the Force. Driven by greed, they requested the Jedi to impart their knowledge of the Force in exchange for their aid in combating their adversaries. Nemok-Ta was among the many who became disciples.
However, the Force was not properly understood by the natives. Those who pursued its study became known as the Voss, while those who rejected it, viewing it as a corrupting influence, transformed into the bestial Gormak. This division also resulted in the creation of a dark side entity, Sel-Makor, who made his home in the Nightmare Lands.
The circumstances of Nemok-Ta's death are unknown, but his spirit survived. Unfortunately, Sel-Makor trapped Nemok-Ta within the body of his Abyssin avatar, where he remained for centuries, even as Voss was forgotten by the wider galaxy.
Around 3640 BBY, amidst the Galactic War, an Imperial team ventured into the Nightmare Lands to uncover the source of the dark power residing there. Upon finding and eliminating Sel-Makor's Abyssin avatar, Nemok-Ta was released. With limited time remaining in the physical realm, the Gormak ghost revealed to the team the true origins of Voss and Sel-Makor. He implored them to return to Voss-Ka and warn his people that the Nightmare Lands would continue to grow as long as the conflict between the Voss and Gormak persisted. Instead, the Imperials manipulated this information, informing the Three, the rulers of Voss-Ka, that the Jedi and Republic were responsible for the ruin of their planet in the past.
