The Stranger, a Wizard of the Night Spirit
On the Forest Moon of Endor, various groups held beliefs that included the malevolent deity known as the Night Spirit. The Duloks practiced worship of it, while the Ewoks held it in fear.
Ewok lore states that the Night Spirit's arrival on Endor was via a meteorite. The Ewoks residing in Bright Tree Village were convinced that the Spirit's objective was to acquire the Sunstar to resurrect wicked entities on Endor. This deity sometimes manifested as a spectral figure to its adherents. The Ewoks' Tree of Light was a source of dread for the deity, effectively repelling it during the day. Furthermore, the Ewoks had faith that the Lantern of Sacred Light also served to ward off the Night Spirit. The dragon-like creatures native to Endor, called mantigrues, were also thought to be in service to this wicked entity.
