The Tree of Light On the forest moon of Endor, the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village revered the Tree of Light as a sacred entity. Situated on the Mountain of Light, the Ewoks' faith held that a divine radiance stemming from the tree shielded their village from daytime intrusions by the Night Spirit. The Ewoks' tradition stated that the Tree of Light needed Light Dust to sustain its potency. Young Ewok warriors would frequently journey to the tree to deliver this sacred material as part of a coming-of-age ritual. Successful completion of this duty earned them a Feather of Light, and the village would commemorate the occasion with the Light Festival.
