Nnedi Okorafor


Nnedi Okorafor penned "The Baptist," a concise narrative featured in the From a Certain Point of View anthology, which saw publication in 2017. Born to Nigerian parents of Igbo heritage who immigrated to the United States, Okorafor currently imparts her knowledge as a creative writing professor at Chicago State University. She is the author of numerous acclaimed literary works, such as Lagoon, Who Fears Death, Kabu Kabu, Akata Witch, Zahrah the Windseeker, and The Shadow Speaker. Okorafor's accolades include the Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Awards, in addition to the Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature in Africa. She resides in Chicago alongside her daughter, Anyaugo, and the rest of her family.
