The Trandoshan Nokk Nokk was a member of a clan in her youth. The elders of her clan were impressed by Nokk's abilities as a hunter, which caused Skikkesk, one of the clan's hunt leaders, to become jealous. Skikkesk, as part of Nokk's initiation hunt, ordered her to kill a young Wookiee and remove its skin. Nokk's refusal resulted in her banishment from the clan. Although many of her female relatives were killed, Nokk was able to get away, and found employment as a hunter. Skikkesk ran away to avoid being discovered by the elders, and later became a wanted criminal located in the Outer Rim.
