Nooli existed as a world situated within the Nooli system, which itself was part of the Noolian sector found in the Mid Rim.
After the Confederate planet Ando's collapse marking the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Separatist forces composed of Aqualish and Harch species launched an invasion of Nooli, along with Galboron, and numerous other planets located near the edge of Bothan Space during 18 BBY. Ultimately, the Galactic Empire prevailed against them in the Battle of Galboron. This entire period of fighting became known as the Noolian Crisis, taking its title from the planet Nooli.
