Noor R'aya

Born on the planet Sorl, R'aya received his education in the ways of the Force from the Jedi Order at the Coruscant Jedi Temple. After achieving the status of Jedi Master and dedicating numerous years to service, R'aya, deeply connected to the Force, chose to step away from active duty and the Temple around 52 BBY.

Upon his return to his homeworld, R'aya made a small residence for himself in the Cragh Mountains. Despite his self-imposed isolation, the aged Master maintained communication with the Order. Being a craftsman, R'aya would spend his time creating small toys and trinkets in his home, which he would then distribute to the children of a nearby village each year. In 43 BBY, the Jedi High Council grew concerned when R'aya ceased responding to their messages to the Temple. The Jedi were dispatched to check on the old Master, only to discover his home had been ransacked, and he was nowhere to be found. Several weeks later, Master Qui-Gon Jinn was captured by the scientist Jenna Zan Arbor. Jinn eventually learned that R'aya was also being held captive in the same prison facility, both now subjects of Arbor's twisted experiments.

With the help of Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, Master Adi Gallia discovered that Masters Jinn and R'aya were being held in a clandestine facility located on Simpla-12. They swiftly moved to seize the laboratory and prison. Upon releasing R'aya, Gallia noticed that a considerable amount of blood had been taken from him, leaving him extremely weakened. Unable to evacuate the Master herself, she had him transported offworld by bounty hunter Ona Nobis to Zan Arbor's secret location on Belasco. Master R'aya, pretending to be unconscious, remained alert enough to leave behind his handcrafted toys as clues for any Jedi who might be tracking him.

It was indeed on Belasco that a recovered Jinn and Gallia were able to find R'aya and bring him back to Coruscant for healing.
