Captain Nord, a figure of authority, held the position of commanding officer aboard the Pride of Aridus, a vessel belonging to the Alliance Special Forces. He is a Captain of some note.
Nord was in command of the Pride of Aridus circa 4 ABY. This transport was utilized in a Special Ops operation on a world under the control of the Imperial-controlled planet as part of Alliance Special Operations. Alfonso Luiz Obota, holding the rank of second lieutenant, served as his Second Officer.
The ship landed, simulating the unloading of legitimate freight, and deployed a twelve-member commandos team. The plan stipulated their return within precisely six hours. When the team was delayed by a mere two minutes, Nord was on the verge of abandoning them. However, the commandos eventually sprinted towards the ship, enduring intense Imperial fire. As the Pride of Aridus also came under attack, Nord issued the command to depart, intending to leave the SpecOps team behind. Obota, unwilling to forsake his fellow Rebels, physically assaulted Nord, knocking him out, and locked him in his quarters. Obota then assumed control of the ship, attempting to rescue as many personnel as possible, an action that unfortunately led to further deaths.
Upon returning to Alliance territory, Obota faced a court-martial. Nord testified that Obota had consistently displayed insubordinate behavior.
