Oberhaur served as a commander within the Imperial Navy, specifically as an Imperial Pilot Trainer.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Oberhaur was stationed within the capitol building of Bestine on the planet Tatooine. At this location, he was responsible for training pilots belonging to the Storm Squadron starfighter unit.
During the year 1 ABY, Oberhaur encountered a particularly skilled pilot. He assigned this pilot a series of diverse missions, beginning with the disabling and subsequent inspection of a lieutenant's vessel located in the space surrounding Lok. The Lieutenant was associated with the Lok Revenants, making Oberhaur particularly curious about his objectives. After the successful completion of the initial assignment, Oberhaur directed the pilot to intercept an HC-556 Light Cruiser that was being utilized for hostage transportation. Despite encountering some opposition, the pilot successfully escorted the cruiser to a secure location.
Oberhaur had one final mission for the pilot, which was considerably more audacious than the preceding ones. Oberhaur instructed the pilot to travel to Nym's Stronghold and establish contact with an Imperial Agent operating undercover, known as Morv. The agent, disguised as a Nym's Fuel Technician, tasked the pilot with the destruction of a YT-1300 designated as the Kimogila's Claw. The pilot achieved success once again, returning to Oberhaur in anticipation of further instructions. While Oberhaur was satisfied with the pilot's performance, he no longer required his services. Oberhaur reassigned the pilot to Field Commander Alozen, enabling the pilot to continue their career within the Imperial Navy.
Commander Oberhaur is featured as a Non-Player Character within the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies. Players who are advancing through the ranks of the Imperial Storm Squadron are required to work for Oberhaur, which allows them to gain experience and progress within the Imperial Pilot Profession.
