Olof served as an Inquisitor for the Imperial forces during the time of the Galactic Civil War. His presence was noted within the Imperial Prison situated on the planet of Dathomir. He became aware of the existence of a particularly menacing group of Nightsisters, known as the Spiderclan, who had cultivated an unusual symbiotic bond with creatures other than the typical Rancor. Olof assigned someone the mission of locating this clan, directing them in the direction of the Nightspider Cult cave.
Within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, which was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, Olof appeared as a non-player character. The game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. Olof's inclusion in the game occurred with the "Publish 1" update, which went live on August 3, 2003.
