Omar was a planetary body, according to legends, that resided within the planetary system also called Omar.
Omar was the site of three Sienar Fleet Systems production facilities that manufactured starfighters. These facilities were responsible for producing TIE Avenger craft for the Galactic Empire. Following the Battle of Hoth, Admiral Demetrius Zaarin destroyed these facilities in an effort to remove the Empire's advanced military resources.
