Giju Run

The Giju Run represented a hyperspace route that possessed a single endpoint on the planet named Giju. This planet was located within the Interior and [Colonies](/article/colonies] regions of the galaxy. This route, positioned along the boundary separating the Colonies from the Core Worlds, proceeded through the Bardotta system in the Shasos sector, specifically the planet Bardotta itself. It then traversed the moon known as Zardossa Stix, as well as the celestial object Deymasoll—both situated within the Colonies—before concluding its path at the astronomical object Kitel Phard in the Core Worlds. Giju served as a connection point, linking the route to both the Rimma Trade Route and the Herglic Alley. Its path encompassed Standard Galactic Grid squares L-13, K-13, J-13, and J-12.

In the year 34 ABY, this route was featured on a partial map depicting the galaxy. This map was displayed on screens found aboard the Halcyon, a Star Cruiser belonging to Chandrila Star Line. At the time, the cruiser was en route from the Chandrila system in the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim Territories.

Behind the scenes

Within the established Star Wars canon, the initial depiction of the Giju Run occurred in "Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Star Wars: The Force Awakens?," an article penned by Mark Newbold and released on StarWars.com on January 29, 2016. Subsequently, it gained identification within Nexus of Power, a Star Wars Roleplaying supplement published by Fantasy Flight Games on March 17, 2016.

Later, the route made its in-universe debut through its portrayal on a map accessible within Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an immersive roleplaying experience situated at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, which opened to the public on March 1, 2022. The Giju Run has roots in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was initially referenced in the Player's Guide to Tapani, a 1997 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game authored by Paul Sudlow and Eric S. Trautmann and brought to publication by West End Games.
