The Onatos system existed inside the Onatos sector, which itself was situated within the Slice section of the Mid Rim region.

Behind the scenes

The system of Onatos first appeared in the Online Companion found on StarWars.com for the reference book The Essential Atlas from 2009, identifying its location as grid square R-15.
