Before the cancellation of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, plans existed for Oppo Rancisis's lightsaber to be featured. These designs, influenced by Count Dooku's lightsaber, were unveiled in 2015 at Celebration Anaheim during The Untold Clone Wars panel by showrunner Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm Story Group's Pablo Hidalgo.
